WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) -Ashley hosting Cardinal Gibbons in the Women’s soccer playoffs.

Screaming Eagles haven’t given up a playoff goal, until Gibbons was on the move.

The initial shot hits the post, bounces back out and Charlotte Fusco puts the Crusaders on top 1-0.

Then after being tripped in the box, Savannah Monset has no problem with the penalty kick.

The score now 1-1

Still in the first half, Monset with a great pass right at the net and Arianna Marshall gets the glory. 2-1 at that point.

The final score- 6 to 5.

Ashley taking the crusaders down in overtime and will now face Hoggard High School on Thursday.
