PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Approximately 250 customers were left without water following a main break near Rocky Point Tuesday morning, Aug. 13, according to Pender County.
In an update Wednesday, Pender County Emergency Management announced that the water main has been repaired and that testing found no presence of coliform bacteria in the water supply. The precautionary boil water advisory that was issued has been rescinded.
“Customers can resume regular water usage without the need for boiling or additional precautions,” the county states. “We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this period. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
