MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WRAL) – Authorities found 4-year-old Brandis Tyrone Smith Jr. safe in Fayetteville, according to a town of Morrisville spokesperson. An Amber Alert was issued for a 2-year-old boy out of Morrisville on Friday night.

Officers responded to an apartment on Bloom Road and learned that someone’s 4-year-old son was taken by the child’s mother at gunpoint.

Authorities said the mother, Deneshia Williams, and her boyfriend, Jontae Purdie, were established as suspects. An unidentified man is a suspect as well.

Investigators said the victim was allegedly assaulted by both Purdie and the unknown male and the mother pointed a handgun at the father. Police said the father’s girlfriend took the child during that time, and Williams allegedly pointed a gun at the father’s girlfriend and took the 4-year-old child from her. The father’s girlfriend’s wallet was also stolen, according to police.
