NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A child has died after being pulled from a resort pool in North Myrtle Beach over the weekend, the Horry County Coroner’s Office confirms.

Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said the 11-year-old child was pulled from a pool at The Links Resort in the North Strand on Saturday. She was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center but died Tuesday morning from her injuries.

Willard said she and her family were vacationing from Lawrenceville, Georgia.

The North Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating.
