Person pulled from burning vehicle

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Wilmington Fire Department rescued an individual from a vehicle fire that happened late Saturday night.
“Last night crews were called to a vehicle fire with an occupant inside. Firefighters pulled the patient out & quickly knocked down the fire. The patient was transported to NHRMC Crews then used foam to mitigate the gasoline left behind from the vehicle,” according to a Tweet from the fire department.
The incident took place at the Headwaters Apartments on Council Street and at this time there is no update on the victim’s status.
